Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is the next chapter in the fan-favorite Sands of Time universe. Visiting his brother's kingdom following his adventure in Azad, the Prince finds the royal palace under siege from a mighty army bent on its destruction. 本作剧情方面与《波斯王子：时之砂》的故事相连接，发生在《波斯王子：时之沙》与《波斯王子：武者之心》两款游戏之间，将作为波斯王子系列回归原点的作品收录系列玩家所期望的大量特色要素，描述波斯王子完成了Azad的冒险之旅后去寻找兄长，却发现兄长的王国被凶暴的军队重重包围、王宫面临被摧毁的危机，陷入生死对决的紧张情势。波斯王子为了逆转这恶劣的局面，不得不决定付出沉重的代价，要利用古老的力量“沙”来挽救快被消灭的王国。
