世嘉正式发布了《音速小子 4：第二章Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2》，游戏在 360、PS3、WP7、iOS、Android 五个平台发行。数字发行品牌经理 Ken Balough 接受 Gamespot 采访时透露，第二章对第一章听取玩家反馈意见，做了较大改动。另外 Sonic 的狐狸好友 Tails the fox 以及蛋头博士创造的金属索尼克 Metal Sonic 也将回归。
特别值得一提的是，此次SEGA采用了新的游戏引擎，将为玩家带来更为优质的画面和物理操作体验。此外加入的在线/局域网合作模式将实现你和你的朋友控制索尼克和狐狸并肩作战，击败弹头博士的阴谋。
