デビュー10周年イヤー 23rdシングル! ClariS×『魔法少女まどか☆マギカ』シリーズの再タッグとなる『マギアレコード 魔法少女まどか☆マギカ外伝』のオープニングテーマ。新曲「ケアレス」はこれまでの主題歌同様に作詞・作曲を渡辺翔、編曲を湯浅篤がつとめながら、「コネクト」から10年の歩みを経て、より進化した歌とサウンド、そして共に歩んできたからこそ紡がれる言葉のリンクが際立つ楽曲となっている。カップリングには80年代後期を彷彿とさせるサウンドでどこかミステリアスな1曲の他、優しく澄んだ歌声がゆっくりと心に染み入ってくるようなバラードを収録。
