This memory economy gives immense power over society to just a handful of people.Remember Me is a 3rd person action adventure where players take on the role of Nilin, a former elite memory hunter with the ability to break into people's minds and steal or even alter their memories. The authorities, fearful of her knowledge and capabilities have arrested Nilin and wiped her memory clean. After her escape from prison, Nilin sets out on a mission to recover her identity, helped by her last and only friend. This search for her past leads to her being hunted by the very people that created this surveillance society.
《勿忘我》是一款以记忆为主题的科幻类动作游戏，游戏设定在近未来2084年的巴黎，在游戏中人类的记忆可以在黑市里出售和购买，游戏的主要角色是一名女性。在游戏世界中，人类全部被灌输到一个感知系统(Sen-Sen)中，一个可以捕获记忆并且可以自由在线交换和交易的系统，制造Sen-Sen感知系统的公司称之为Memoryeyes，这个公司控制整个世界记忆的流通。而游戏女主角则以渗透人类记忆，并通过记忆了解他的过去。《勿忘我》游戏背景设定在2084年，却又让人感受到一些来自1984年的那种混乱，贫富分化严重。游戏开始于新的巴黎，那里还保留有艾菲尔铁塔、凯旋门等等，它们却被置身在这样一个布局混乱、高楼林立、机器丛生的世界，显得如此渺小。
