《辐射3》（Fallout 3）是Bethesda Softworks开发的角色扮演游戏，是《辐射》系列的第三部主要作品。本作使用与《上古卷轴IV 湮灭》相同的游戏引擎“GameBryo”开发。玩家要自己设定主角，在辐射的世界中玩家将会享受到充分的自由度，所做的任何选择都将有可能改变游戏，本作的战斗内容也十分丰富，有多种武器供玩家使用。游戏讲述2077年地球引发的核战争导致了地面的荒废，大部分的人类都在这场浩劫中死亡，遭受辐射污染的幸存者则是变成变种人，只有极少数人类在被称为 “Vault” 的地下避难所生活。2277年（核战200年后），避难所101被誉为废墟中的珠宝。巨大的变异昆虫，盗贼，奴隶贩子，还有甚至超级异形全部都无法对抗超级避难所技术工程。玩家将扮演101号避难所居民，母亲在自己出生时难产身亡，相依为命的父亲某日因公然顶撞监督（Overseer），离开了舒适安全的101号避难所。为了找寻父亲，主角踏出避难所的闸门，来到浩劫后的荒芜世界展开冒险。
