本作与《杀手7》和《英雄不再》这两作的氛围有些类似，但前两作的主角是杀手，本作却不是，而是做为处刑人，将世界中的S级极恶罪犯送进地狱，所以本作的标题也有“干掉杀手”的意义。与《英雄不再》的剑术动作游戏相比，本作将采用新系统。而且本作与《链锯棒棒糖》相比也走的是另一条道路。简单地说，本作的关键字和希望体现出来的感觉就是“闪光的、华丽的游戏”。
距离现在不远的未来，人类已经可以在月球生活，同时还可以借助科技来重新改造我们的身体，主人公 Mondo Zappa 在某一天收到了神秘组织 “The Execution Office.（处刑秘社）”的雇佣邀请函，于是游戏开始了。
